SELF ABUSE - 'No Change' EP - Abused Music
Not only have Self Abuse from Bournemouth just done their first gig for twenty
years but also they've released this EP to coincide with that fact. If you
take out of the equation the CD that bassist Andy released containing their
'Soldier' EP from 1983 and demos from first time around (1982-84) this is
only their second release. But, what a class piece of vinyl to come back with!
Four tracks that are both new and vintage Self Abuse, melodic tunes, personal/political
lyrics and a style that made them stand a bit out from bands back in the 80's
and will make them stand out this time around if they keep at it. It's the
original line up of a band that didn't make it all over the UK twenty years
ago but hopefully they will get opportunities to put that right this time
around. Great sleeve for the EP as well.
